MY STORY
Hello, I'm Courtney, the resilient soul behind Court’s Studio. At 16, life has woven a tapestry of challenges, and I navigate its intricacies with a passion for the stars. I proudly identify as genderflux (I use she/they pronouns) apothisexual and panromantic, embracing the diverse spectrum of love and connection.
My journey is marked by profound resilience. A traumatic incident permanently altered half of my right eye, a visible scar of the battles within. Alongside this, I grapple with vocal cord dysfunction, hyperalgesia, OCD, ADHD, general and social anxiety, and depression. Each day is a testament to my strength and determination to create and inspire despite these emotional and physical hurdles.
The cosmos serves as both my refuge and inspiration. I find solace in the wonders of astrophysics, a sanctuary that fuels my creativity. Beyond the stars, I express my artistry through knitting, crafting warmth and beauty that mirrors the resilience within me. In the digital realm, I create websites that tell stories, pouring emotions into every pixel.
My connection with animals is profound. In my space, 5 dogs, 2 cats, and guinea pig (sadly her friend passed recently but she is doing great on her own) share their warmth, reflecting my compassionate and nurturing spirit. Their presence is a source of comfort on days when the weight of my battles feels particularly heavy.
Life's physical challenges have shaped me. A former karate enthusiast, injuries, including whiplash to the right trapezius muscle and a major ankle injury requiring surgery, altered my path. Yet, through pain and recovery, I've channeled my energy into my true loves – creating art, building websites, and finding solace in the unconditional love of my furry companions.
My experiences with synesthesia are a kaleidoscope of emotions. Senses intertwine, painting my world with vivid colors and unique connections that breathe life into my creations. I can see sounds, like names and music and physically feel their energy. This is a rare phenomena. It's a journey of discovery, finding beauty in the intersection of senses.
As an INFJ personality and a steadfast Taurus, my essence is defined by being friendly, shy, kind, and compassionate. My journey is an emotional invitation to explore Court’s Studio – where art, love, and resilience converge to tell stories that transcend time and space.
